KBIS 2025 Design Hounds
We spent three exciting days attending KBIS, The National Kitchen and Bath Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. There were more than 43,000 visitors, 700 exhibitors and more than 500,000 square feet of space. We logged thousands of steps, took hundreds of photos and walked away with some inspiration and fresh ideas for our projects. As part of the Design Hounds group, we had the opportunity to connect with design experts, industry leading brands and attend exclusive event and curated tours.

Here are the top trends we discovered at the show.
AI and Smart Technology - The leader of the show in this regard was SKS Signature Suites. They seamlessly integrate AI and smart technology into their luxury appliances. Most of their products sync with the ThinQ app letting you check on smart appliances from anywhere - whether it’s tracking your laundry cycle, getting a heads up when your fridge’s water filter needs replacing or sending cooking instructions straight to your phone. You can even control your range with just your voice using Google Assistant or Alexa. Some of their most impressive smart tech features include:
Ovens and cooktops that can recognize different ingredients, suggest cooking temperatures and adjust settings. Check out the features of the SKSDR360SIS Dual Fuel Range.

These smart refrigerators use AI to keep your food fresh longer. Built in sensors track temperature, humidity, and even expiration dates, sending your reminders when it’s time to use or restock items. The 48” built-in French Door Refrigerator is not only stunning in design, it also makes craft ice for that extra touch of luxury!

Smart Wine Columns -This is a dream for wine lovers. Precise temperature control keeps each bottle at the perfect conditions to maintain its flavor and quality. One of the standout features is AI-powered inventory management. It can track bottles, suggest ideal serving temperatures, and even pair wine with meals.

Wellness - There is a growing trend towards holistic wellness in home design
Hot/Cold Plunge by Empava- offers both hot and cold plunge options for therapeutic benefits. This is the only residential tub with 113 degrees for a hot soak and 37.4 degrees for a cold plunge in one unit. They were awarded as a “Best of KBIS” finalist and Design Bites Presenter.

Saunas - KLAFS USA Luxury home saunas have several offerings in their line. We particularly liked the SANARIUM which transforms a traditional sauna into 5 climate zones. A classic sauna, warm air bath, tropical bath, aroma bath and gentle steam bath.

Steam Showers - Designed to elevate the showering experience a steam shower transforms a standard shower into a spa-like retreat. The key advantages of the Brizo Mystic Steam System showcased at KBIS 2025 included audiotherapy which provides calming or invigorating music to enhance relaxation, and chromatherapy which uses colored lighting to influence a mood and create a tranquil atmosphere. Additionally, there are adjustable steam levels tailored for relaxation, muscle relief and skin hydration.

Seamless jumbo quartz slabs
We toured the compacsurfaces booth at KBIS that was very impressive! They are a company in Spain founded in 1975 that manufactures high quality quartz whose patterns and colors set them apart from other brands.
The OBSIDIANA collection follows a “zero waste” philosophy.
Recycle as much as possible
Reuse - Seek new uses so we throw nothing away
Reduce the consumption of sources
Reconsider everything that can’t be recycled or reused.
Compac Surfaces Obsidiana is a sustainable surface material made almost entirely from 100% recycled glass, meaning it is primarily composed of repurposed glass waste that is processed and combined with other components to create a durable, aesthetically pleasing surface for countertops, walls, and other applications; this production process is considered environmentally friendly as it uses recycled materials and minimizes the need for new raw materials.
Here are some of the stunning slabs in their booth.

As Designhounds we were invited to listen to several brands and manufacturers as they enter into the North American Market. It is a program to forge relationships with international businesses called NKBA Global Connect. It is very interesting to see how European brands, especially in the kitchen and bath industry, place a high priority on sustainability and water preservation. There are much stricter environmental regulations and Europeans actively seek out eco-conscious brands.
One of our favorite presentations was from a company called Hidealoo. The retractable toilet for small spaces was invented by Monty Ravenscroft. He was inspired to create this product after his father was in palliative care in his home and needed a discreet toilet in his bedroom. These toilets can fit in unusual locations and have become widely popular. So fun to actual meet the man and have him demonstrate his product to us.

Statement Hardware - the Modern Matter booth was a standout for us. Like we say “it’s all in the details” and their offerings were incredible! As Designhounds we were given the exciting challenge of selecting five of our favorite products from the show and this collection by Michelle Nussbaumer called Mayan and Aztec was an obvious favorite. Every piece is spectacular!

Another favorite showroom was James Martin Vanities who we have specified for many projects. Their booth had so many beautiful and functional vanities that truly are like a piece of furniture. We also selected one of their vanities as a “Favorite Find.” You can see the details in our Instagram Highlight Reel. Check out this image that illustrates the ability to charge your phone right on the surface of the vanity.
